Looking over plans

"At Marriott, we've found that retrocommissioning saves us time and money. At one property, we expect to save nearly $500,000 annually in energy costs from implementing retrocommissioning measures - and the project will pay for itself in less than one year. We’re using the SCE RCx Program to continue our efforts in this area.”

-E.J. Hilts, Regional Energy Manager for Marriott (Western Region)

What to Expect

A building participating in the SCE RCx Program will typically take 9-12 months to complete.  The Program operates in six distinct phases: Project Start, Screening, Agreement Development, Investigation, Implementation and Follow-Up.  Each phase has key deliverables and milestones identified by the Program to ensure successful execution of the retrocommissioning. Our Program Representatives will support you throughout the process, from project start to project completion.  Each building will have an RCx Provider, selected by the Owner from the Program’s pre-qualified pool of RCx Providers, to lead the investigation of the building and provide documentation and training once the project is complete. For Commercial/ Institutional buildings, information regarding each phase of the Program is explained in further detail including documents and deliverables required from the Program.
