Frequently Asked Questions
Who actually performs the RCx?
The Program has a list of pre-qualified building RCx Providers to perform RCx services. See Qualified RCx Providers for more information.
How long does a typical project take?
Depending on the scope and complexity, a project may last 9-12 months from inception to completion.
Who receives the incentive check?
For RCx projects, the Program provides screening, scoping, investigation and project follow-up services at no cost to the owner. Depending on the costs of implementing the selected measures, the building owner will receive an incentive check to offset the cost of measures with a payback of greater than one year.
How do I know if my building is a good candidate?
There is a set of criteria that the Program uses to screen a building and determine whether it is a good candidate to participate in the Program. The primary criteria include building size, annual energy consumption, and age and condition of building equipment. See How To Qualify for more information.
